I’m a Hawaii born and bred, University of Michigan grad who had a summer fling as a roller skating waitress in NYC and ended up in San Francisco with a vibrant 18 year career in sales and trading for J.P. Morgan. Being on a sales and trading floor was mayhem and I absolutely loved it — demanding clients, phones on both ears and lots and lots of antics. Not exactly Wolf of Wall Street, but kinda…
I retired from J.P. Morgan and dove headfirst into what I *really* wanted to do, which was to become an actor. And I’ve had decent success! I’ve worked on the last 4 years of the NBA 2K games (Motion Capture), voiced a Pixar short and many radio commercials, and booked roles in TV shows like iCarly and Blindspotting.
And then a friend urged me to get certified to be a CliftonStrengths coach, and it was the key that unlocked my future. Exactly like acting, being a coach is diving into the unknown, having a blast, being wildly creative and really understanding who people are and why they do what they do.
I lead with Empathy, Positivity, Responsibility and Competition. If you tell me I can’t do something, it only makes me want to do it more. But I’m also the kind of person who, as a kid, walked around my childhood home looking down into a mirror to pretend I was walking on the ceiling (Restorative?).
