Karen is passionate about strengths coaching and helping others to discover and maximize their individual talent areas for career and life success! As a Gallup-Certified Strengths coach, she enjoys working with C-suite executives, companies, employees, students, and clients to help them collectively and individually discover and maximize their talents for greater team engagement, performance, and improved outcomes.  

Karen believes in the potential and power of education to change lives and societies. She brings over 25 years of experience as an educator, trainer, leader, business owner, and administrator. Karen has led courses and workshops on strengths development, community engagement, positive psychology, career development, and leadership.  Her formal education has focused on communication, psychology, business, and education. She studied with the School for International Training in Kenya and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Stonehill College.  She earned her M.Ed. degree in Higher Education Policy and Leadership and her Ph.D. in Higher Education from the Department of Educational Policy, Research and Administration at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. 

Karen’s commitments to employee engagement, strengths-based approaches, equity and inclusion, educational access, and holistic human development guide her research, work, and learning.
