I lead with Maximizer which contributes to my ability to move someone or something from good to great. I love to see people develop, achieve and grow. I'm authentic, approachable and I enjoy celebrating others' accomplishments. Your success is my success.
When I work with people, I learn about what motivates them, what they feel they're good at, what gift do they possess that I can help them hone. I especially love working with people to develop a new and unique way to talk about themselves. A new language, a Strength-based language, that's helpful when interviewing for jobs, applying for colleges, applying for scholarships, or working as part of team.
Talent is a great resource. I'm good at seeing talent, especially untapped or raw talent, and making it a Strength.
I was introduced to Clifton Strength Assessment in 2009 when I was participating in a leadership academy for higher education professionals. Since then I have been active in helping others learn about and developing their Strengths.
I have an Associate's Degree in General Studies (yay, community colleges!!), a Bachelor's Degree in Print Journalism, and a Master's Degree in Higher Education Administration. I have been working in higher education for more than 20 years.
I love travelling and learning about people and cultures. I'm an outdoor enthusiast who's passionate about our national parks. I love to read and learn.
