It's no accident that four out of my top five strengths (connectedness, positivity, empathy, adaptability and woo) are relational. I thrive in community and connection to others.
People are my passion, and I have channeled the art of coaching and storytelling as mediums to live out that passion in my life. At the University of Georgia, I studied journalism and visual storytelling. I worked in news as a photographer and copywriter before making the jump to corporate communications by joining KWI Communications, where I have worked since 2015. At KWI, I was able to continue interviewing incredible people, writing stories, producing digital content and building websites. I became an Account Manager, where I managed a team, an account, a budget and client relationships.
In 2020, I had the opportunity to put my people passion to work in a new way by moving into a culture-focused role. Storytelling was still a piece of my role, as I developed and executed our onboarding process and supported the development and communication of our culture internally and externally, but I also focused on projects supporting our team's wellbeing and ensuring that, as KWI grows, our culture continues to put people first. As KWI's first Senior Culture Manager, I was given the opportunity to become a Gallup-Certified Strengths Coach alongside our CEO and President.
Having performed nearly 100 individual, manager and team coaching sessions centered around strengths-based development, I have had the honor and privilege of supporting the development of many, both inside and outside of KWI. As a coach, I am invested, and I truly care about the clients I serve. I appreciate the individuality of each person and believe the most essential piece of my work is increasing my clients' self-awareness. While self-awareness is a life-long journey, it's a joy to serve as, even if only for a moment, a guide for my clients as they embark on an intentional exploration of who they are.
