Rebecca is the Associate Director for Student Engagement at New York Institute of Technology’s New York City Campus. In addition to obtaining her Master’s Degree in Higher Education and Student Affairs from the University of Connecticut, Rebecca has more than five years of higher education experience. Much of her time in higher education has focused on leadership development for Students and Staff. She gained her full Gallup-certification in March 2020.
After being introduced to Clifton Strengths while in Graduate School, Rebecca has used the Clifton Strengths program as a tool to encourage learning in college aged students through understanding and building upon their strengths. Along with a fellow colleague and certified strengths coach, Rebecca proposed the creation of a Strengths based leadership program for the entire student population. She has experience proposing and developing this kind of program in a higher education setting. Rebecca and her Colleague were able to create a structure and build Clifton Strengths into experiential leadership experiences, full year programs with student leaders, Professional Staff workshops and individual coaching sessions.
Through her hands-on experience with Clifton Strengths, Rebecca is available to help incorporate Strengths into your workshops, leadership series, ongoing programming, or team meetings. While Rebecca tends to focus on Higher Education in her everyday job, she can help with Strengths Coaching or Trainings in any sector or periods of transition.
