Tammy L. Hensch, Ph.D.

A retired combat, Army veteran with over 25 years of federal service, Tammy Hensch served in many leadership roles, building cohesive teams, and consulting leaders through complex situations.  Her compassion for people led her initial career choice as a medic, an enlisted soldier who grew through the ranks. Her dedication to soldiers and making a difference led her to a commission, serving as an officer to deepen her care, responsibility, and desire to lead troops.  Her philosophy, "Take care of your people, and they will take care of you - success is never achieved alone."  Tammy strives to help leaders embrace their journey, never forgetting where they came from, reaching their maximum potential while building teams of teams to lead into the future. 

Tammy's military career culminated as an Army Strategist, serving as a faculty member at National Defense University, where she provided strategic education to U.S. and foreign military as well as civilian leaders. Tammy designed, developed, and taught leadership concepts regarding organizational culture, change, as well as decision-making. In her pivot to corporate organizations, she uses her expertise in coaching, instructional systems design, and facilitation, delivering experiential learning to leaders at all levels weaving Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in all she does.  She also serves government clients, designing, developing, and delivering learning solutions to increase effective communication and prepare leaders with a digital ready mindset to lead in a new AI era. 

Tammy has written and co-created publications in professional bulletins and blogs, covering topics such as Army Values, Employee Engagement, Communication, Building Digital Organizations, and Women in Leadership.

Tammy is a certified executive coach and holds a Ph.D. in Business, specializing in Organizational Leadership and a Master's in Public Administration from the Harvard Kennedy School.
