My personal mission statement is to encourage and support others as they explore possibilities to reach their dreams and aspirations. I consider myself a connector and get a lot of satisfaction from meeting new people and learning about their interests and passions.
Human Resources has been my profession for over 35 years. Most recently I led the human resources department at Goodwill of Central & Southern Indiana, beginning as a director and successfully rising through the ranks to Chief HR Officer. I have worked in a variety of HR Management positions with Ethicon, LLC, a division of Johnson & Johnson, and Hanes Menswear, Inc., a division of Sara Lee Corporation, both in my native country of Puerto Rico. My special proficiency is developing talent through coaching, mentoring, and training. I recently started my own business, Monell & Associates, to provide HR Consulting and Coaching services.
In my spare time I enjoy traveling, volunteering, and reading. Giving back to my community is very important for me. I served at Habitat for Humanity of Greater Indianapolis board and I'm currently serving at the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Indiana board.
