Holly Joy McIlwain, M.S. has diverse work experience in various roles and industries, helping people to use their strengths to thrive in the narrow space between work and life.
Holly Joy is also the Founder of Brave Women Project, a nonprofit organization that builds community and empowers professional women to take brave action. Additionally, she serves as a Faculty member for the Pittsburgh Leadership Foundation, where she helps leaders and organizations reach their full potential. She is on the Leadership Team, serving as Talent Development Partner at Winner Partners, and functions as Group Facilitator & Professional Trainer.
Previously serving as the Director of People + Culture at Wolfe.com, a company that has developed and sold multiple technology businesses, Director of Human Resources Services at Franciscan University of Steubenville, and in leadership positions at Robert Morris University and Diocese of Pittsburgh, where her focus on human resources, talent management, and leadership development has impacted thousands. Throughout her career, Holly has been dedicated to promoting personal growth, empowerment, and excellence in various organizations and industries. Holly Joy McIlwain, M.S. has a strong educational background in various fields. Holly Joy obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Education from Franciscan University of Steubenville in 2003. Holly Joy then pursued further studies and completed Master's level coursework in Theology and Philosophy from Franciscan University of Steubenville in 2011.
In 2017, Holly earned a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Organizational Leadership from Robert Morris University. This demonstrates her commitment to developing their leadership skills and enhancing their knowledge in this field. Additionally, Holly has several certifications that complement her educational background. In 2018, she became a Certified Strengths Coach & Trainer from Gallup. Holly Joy also obtained a certification as a Certified Professional Behavioral Analyst and Certified Professional Driving Forces Analyst from TTI Success Insights in the same year. Further, Holly achieved the Inbound Marketing Certification from HubSpot Academy in 2018.
Furthermore, Holly has completed the DDI Facilitator Certification Process Workshop offered by DDI | Development Dimensions International in 2020. She’s the author of the Practical Wisdom series, “For She Who Leads: Practical Wisdom from a Woman Who Serves”, and “For She Who Grieves: Practical Wisdom for Living Hope”.
